POWER Day
On 17th February Power Day was conducted with Seminar. The program was inaugurated by the Beloved Manager V. Rev. Dr. Augustine Palackaparambil. Dr. Reji Varghese Mekkaden delivered Principals Message and College Bursr Rev. Fr. George Pullukalayil felicitated the function.
Talk 01 was delivered by Dr. A.V. Satheesh, Scientific Officer, Koodamkulam Nuclear Power Plant, on ‘Koodamkulam Nuclear Plant : Production & Safety Measures’.
Talk 02 was delivered by ‘Electrical Energy Saving Techniques’ by Sri Shaji Mathew, Assistant Executive Engineer (Rtd) KSEB. Final session was conducted by Mr. Babujan S, Assistant Executive Engineer KSEB, Erattupetta, on ‘House Hold Electricity’.
Science Window
It is an inspiring programme for school students to mould them as young scientists. Teachers in the department were grouped in to four for the smooth functioning of the programme. The first session was conducted on 29/07/2019 by Prof. Tessy K Mathews and Sri. Roy Thomas. It was a different experience for the teachers and the students have very positive responses.
Popular Science Lecture Series - I
Dr. Smitha Jose, Lecturer, Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, took lecture on the topic “Trapping of ultra cold atoms in a magnetic lattice” on 30th July 2019.
Popular Science Lecture Series –II
The Popular Lecture Series Radiance 2020 was initiated on 01/01/2020. Dr. Jobin Varghese, Scientist, Hybrid Electronic Unit, Dresden, Germany delivered the talk. The topic of the lecture was “Sustainability in Ceramic Packaging for Electronics”.

Popular Science Lecture Series -I
To encourage the academic community to become more interested in Physics the Department of Physics organized a lecture by Dr. Sibi K.S. University of Kerala, Kariavattom campus on the topic Sound Sensing &Artificial Intelligence on 19th August 2020 as part of Popular Science Lecture Series. The section was informative and interesting.
Popular Science Lecture Series -II
Department of Physics organized a lecture by Dr. Ajil Kottayil, Scientist C, Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Radar Research Cochin University of Science and Technology on the topic Indian Summer Monsoon Process& Modeling Challenges on 30th January 2021.
Scientometrics
The association inauguration together with a Research Motivation Programme - Scientometrics was conducted on 5 th December 2020. Dr. Daizy Philip (top 2% scientist - Stanford rating) inaugurated the association activities of the academic year and delivered a highly motivated talk on research. The talk was useful for teachers and students as it provided an opportunity to hear from a successful person as a teacher and a researcher.

National Webinar
On World Environmental Day ,05/06/20221 department conducted a national webinar ‘Psithurism’. to promote the “living together with nature “ concept . Three online talks were arranged with this function. Dr. Binumol Tom, DEAN, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam was delivered the talk 01 on ‘Biophilic Living’. Talk 02 was delivered by G. Jyothilal Travel Writer, Columnist and Senior Reporter, Mathrubhumi on ‘Kattilekkulla Yathrakal.’ Third session was conducted by Dr. Ayona Jayadev, Assistant professor, All Saints’ College, Trivandrum. Beloved Manager V. Rev. Dr. Augustine Palackaparambil inaugurated the program. Principal message was delivered by Dr. Reji Varghese Mekkadan and college Bursar Rev. Fr. George Pullukalayil felicitated the function.
