Department of Commerce (Aided)

The Department of Commerce was established in 1980 with the introduction of the first batch in the IVth Group - Commerce. The following year, another batch in the IVth Group was initiated, marking the expansion of our department. Under the capable leadership of Mr. P M Mathew, who served as the head of the department, we began our journey to provide quality education in commerce.

To ensure comprehensive instruction and guidance, our faculty team consisted of experienced professionals. Mr. Edsel Joseph and Mr. Jacob James K Veedon joined the department, contributing their expertise and knowledge to the development of our students.

We take pride in offering a range of programs and courses designed to equip our students with a strong foundation in commerce. Our curriculum covers various aspects of business, finance, economics, accounting, and management, preparing students for diverse career opportunities in the corporate world.

In addition to classroom learning, we believe in providing practical exposure and real-world experiences to our students. We organize industry visits, guest lectures by industry experts, workshops, and seminars to bridge the gap between theory and practice. These activities allow our students to gain valuable insights into the functioning of businesses and develop the skills necessary to thrive in the professional arena.

To facilitate this, we emphasize the use of technology and provide access to modern infrastructure. Our computer labs are equipped with the latest software and internet connectivity, enabling students to enhance their technological proficiency and stay abreast of current industry trends.
